The Thousand Island Lake is a scenic lake with multiple viewpoints and walking trails, which surrounded by tea plantations. One of the most famous attraction here is the Crocodile Island, it is one of the islands in the Thousand Island lake. Looking from the highpoint of the mountain is like looking a standstill crocodile.

Many people come here to watch the Fei-ts’ui Reservoir on the viewing platform. Also, Bagua Tea Garden’s fresh air and non-touristy environment in the early hours, it is one of the favorite spots for nature photographers.

Traffic Information

【Bus】
Bus From MRT Xindian Station, walk straight for two minutes to Bitan Bus stop and take the G2, get off at Xiaogetou Station (approximately 1 hour), walk towards Zhukeng Road, turn left at Zhukeng Road, and then Turn left on Tanyao Road and you will arrive.

【Drive On Your Own】
From MRT Xindian Station, go south along Beiyi Highway, head towards Zhongxing Road for about 13.5 kilometers, get pass The New Taipei City Government Police Department and turn right for 300m, then Turn left on Zhukeng Road and drive 100m, turn left on Tanyao Rd. and drive 750 m, turn right and drive about 600m, Crocodile Island will be on the left.
