The booming phenomenon of the arts and cultural industry in recent years, Freedom Men Art Apartments were established in Taichung by several art-related practitioners and sponsors in December, 2012 to create exhibition venues for new generation artists outside commercial galleries and official art galleries.

The challenge of the apartments combines the possibility of “residence-creation-exhibition” to give different functions to the space. In addition to art performances, it also actively participates in art fairs and international exchange exhibitions at home and abroad, and continues to assist artists to set foot on the international stage.

If you are an artist, you can apply for apartment residence. There is an “urban” artist-in-residence program which welcome artists home and aboard to bring an assortment of art projects. Interdepartmental artist-in-residence exchange program is also available for improving the international art interaction. There’s two room&studio in Freedom Men Art Apartments available for short-term and long-term residency applications. The attic of the apartment is an open space for creation (around 264.5 square meters, an co-working space for creators). The rent for the room is NT$500 per day and NT$5,000 a month if you want to apply for a long-term stay.
