DaHu tomato factory was built during the Japanese occupation. At that time, all the tomatoes were produced only for export. After the Taiwanese liberation, it was once changed into a canned pineapple factory. But it went bankrupt  and collapsed into ruins. There was a nearly 100 years old Flame tree planted in the abandoned factory area. It always attracts passersby stop their walking and take photos when the Flame flower blooms.

In Taiwan, every May and June are the graduation month for students. The blossoms of Flame flower represent the approach of the graduation season. The petals on the floor just like a special red rug for the graduating students. Actually, there is not only a beautiful flame tree here, but it is also a shooting scene where the Taiwanese idol drama excavated. It’s really an amazing experience to come and feel the graduating atmosphere in DaHu.
