There is a wonderful place that hides in New Taipei City which is a slot-type canyon that located in Shiding District. The canyon is about 120 meters long and the entire stream is very dark and green, so you must swim from side to side. At the southern end there is a small waterfall. There are several smaller gorges and deep swimming pool holes from the upper part of the crater. There are many interesting rock formations on the stone wall.

Though it has extraordinary scene, it also has a WEIRD name which is called The Wormhole(蚯蚓坑). Perhaps the name is not beautiful, but here is undoubted the most amazing and healing place in the bustle city. Without excessive pollution and damage, there is only the beauty of the pristine nature which puts our mind at ease.

When was your last self-talk? I guess most of us definitely forget. Being trapped in such a noisy and bustle world, our mind has suffered damage. But when traveling here, the atmosphere makes me rest and think a lot of myself. This place is not only a nice place to chill during the summer but a place that helps you rediscover yourself. By the way, it’s quite close to the city and accessible by bus!
