Conan Stinky Tofu
Named after the anime fan owner, this tofu stall originated from Haimei Stinky Tofu at Fuan Temple in Shengang, Changhua. Always with long lines, the tofu has crispy skin and juicy insides — five pieces per order. The owner adds special sauce to holes poked into the tofu and tops it with flavorful kimchi. Pair it with pig’s blood soup or meatball soup for the ultimate combo.
Wang Ji – Extra Long Fries & Deep-Fried Glutinous Rice
Wang Ji’s fries are made from freshly mashed potatoes, pressed and fried on-site using patented Japanese molds. Cooked in plant oil, they’re vegetarian-friendly. The visually striking long fries are a crowd magnet. Also try their deep-fried glutinous rice, a Lukang specialty — crispy outside, soft inside, dusted with aromatic peanut and sesame powder.
Motorcycle Sushi Girl
This stall is designed like a motorcycle and offers hand-rolled sushi freshly made daily. The Japanese-style vinegared rice is chewy and well-balanced with sweet, salty, and sour flavors. Packed with fresh ingredients, a single box is both filling and delicious — once you try it, you’ll crave more.
Full Satisfaction Vermicelli (Fu Man Yi Mian Xian)
The broth here is rich and flavorful. Braised large intestines are tender and packed with flavor. Plump, fresh oysters from the Taichung coast add an indulgent touch. With chewy meat stew and handmade vermicelli, topped with a unique sauce, this dish offers a memorable taste you won’t forget.
Must-Eat #7: Hao Jia Steak
Hao Jia Steak is known for its addictive flavors and great value. The thick-cut steak is juicy, the chicken leg steak tender, and the iron plate noodles plentiful without being mushy. Enjoy all-you-can-eat corn soup and black tea when dining in. It’s always packed, but the service is fast and friendly — steak lovers, don’t miss it!
Gu Jia (Mushroom Feast)
Gu Jia uses king oyster, shimeji, enoki, and coral mushrooms to create a mushroom feast. Lightly coated in flour and deep-fried to golden crispiness, the mushrooms remain juicy inside. A sprinkle of savory pepper salt after frying makes them irresistible — it’s hard not to finish the whole bag quickly. Get in line early or risk missing out!
