Tjuku cafe (啾咕咖啡) may sound like a local Yilan term, but it’s named after the owner’s daughter, nicknamed “Tjuku.” And how cute is that? Tjuku cafe has two branches in the small Wushi Harbor (烏石港) area: one boasts a stunning ocean view, while the other—inside the Lanyang Museum (蘭陽博物館)—overlooks a tranquil lake.

Located on the second floor of the Lanyang Museum’s Wushi Harbor Station (蘭博烏石港驛站), Tjuku Cafe’s Wushi Harbor Store offers an unbeatable vista of the Wushi Harbor Bay and Guishan Island. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows on either side allow you to admire both the harbor and a panoramic view of the Lanyang Museum. Talk about a picture-perfect spot for a coffee break!

The interior design blends modern and vintage elements, exuding a cozy, artistic vibe. A closer look reveals plenty of delightful details—making this café an Instagrammer’s dream. Order a slice of their mille-crepe cake, and you’ll get a mini cake knife to cut through those delicate layers (and yes, it’s definitely an analog film killer for all you photo fans!).

Mille-crepe cakes are Tjuku cafe’s specialty, handmade fresh daily in limited quantities. Their matcha flavor is a crowd favorite—many can’t get enough! Although no one counts every layer, these cakes genuinely live up to the “thousand-layer” name. Seasonal fruit toppings are sometimes added, making each slice not just delicious but a feast for the eyes as well.
