Zhikaxuan Forest Park 知卡宣綠森林親水公園

Zhikaxuan Forest Park offers not only water play but also a newly opened children’s playground with sections like the “Wilderness Adventure Island” and the “Forest Sky Tree.” The park is vast, and there are plenty of facilities to keep everyone entertained all day. In summer, water play areas are open from July 1st to August 25th, with free entry to the splash pool. Many people flock to Zhikaxuan to cool off during the summer. The water play area features diverse attractions, including a large 360-degree spinning water slide and a two-story-high water slide that leads into the pool, providing an exciting experience. Kids can enjoy water fights in the children’s pool, and there’s also a wave pool and lazy river, loved by visitors of all ages.

Nanbin Park in Pacific Park 太平洋公園南濱段

Nanbin Park, located along the Nanbin coastline, retains much of its natural landscape. Sitting on the rocks along the shore, you can gaze out over the vast Pacific Ocean and the crescent-shaped Huilan Bay. The park connects to the Ertan Bike Trail, allowing visitors to leisurely ride a bike while enjoying the sea views. The park also features a Roman-style central plaza, a children’s playground with tunnels, zip lines, and a wooden pirate ship sandbox, as well as an extreme sports area and beach volleyball courts, making it an ideal destination for families. Farglory Ocean Park 遠雄海洋公園

Chongde Ying Farm 崇德瑩農場

Chongde Ying Farm, located at the estuary of the Liwu River, is one of Hualien’s most popular attractions, often referred to as “Hualien’s version of New Zealand” due to its breathtaking mountain and ocean views and vast grasslands. The farm combines adorable animals, horse riding, ATV rides, canoeing, paragliding, zip lines, brick oven cooking, and more, offering plenty of fun activities in one spot. Di Guang Wei–Fun Experience Fan Park 地耕味-玩味蕃樂園

Fun Experience Fan Park is a retro-style tourist factory created by the Zongtai Group. On the first floor, you can find a variety of souvenirs, snacks, and pastries to try, along with free cold water and roselle tea. Step onto the second floor, and it’s like entering a time tunnel, with an old-fashioned train station, nostalgic shops, a vintage cinema, and features of Hualien’s 13 townships—perfect for endless photo ops. The third floor houses the Yu Zongbai Story Museum, which requires a paid entry. It tells the entrepreneurial story of Hualien’s mochi empire, taking visitors back to simpler times. The museum also provides free traditional outfits, including kimonos, cheongsams, Korean hanboks, and school uniforms for visitors to try on and capture memorable photos.
