Renowned for its handmade desserts, Canimama Pâtisserie moved from Zhonghe to Hsinchu. The new shop has a warm and cozy ambiance, reminiscent of a brownie. Canimama offers a variety of drinks, including coffee, local Taiwanese tea, specialty teas, and sodas. The dessert selection varies daily, with signature brownies, blackbird pies, cinnamon rolls, and Earl Grey cheesecake among the options. Occasionally, they also offer savory pies, such as Hsinchu black pork tomato meat sauce or anchovy asparagus mashed potatoes. Be sure to try them if you get the chance!

儷舍咖啡 Lisha Café
Established 30 years ago, Lisha Café is a well-known restaurant among Hsinchu locals. The interior features a classic European style with warm lighting that creates a relaxing atmosphere. Lisha Café is particularly popular for its nutritious breakfast, which includes ham, toast (or waffles), and American scrambled eggs (or fried eggs), accompanied by coffee, black tea, milk tea, or milk, and fruit for dessert. Located in Hsinchu Park, Chun Room Glass Studio + The POOL is a three-story complex that combines exhibitions, experiences, dining, and curated items. Visitors can watch glassblowing artisans at work and even try their hand at blowing glass or creating glass filaments. 將軍村 General’s Village
Originally a residential area for senior military officers and their families from the Kinmen Defense Command, General’s Village has been restored and opened to the public at the end of 2023. Known for its long lines, Hsinchu Zhangjie American Hot Dogs is located near the Zhongzheng Taiwan Business Circle. Located on Datong Road, this old house, which had been vacant for 60 years, has been transformed into the Datong 108 Old Town Regeneration Base / Huozhe Literary and Historical Book Room. The space combines an independent bookstore, craft exhibitions, and workshops. Regular exhibitions related to the history and culture of Hsinchu’s old town aim to create opportunities for dialogue, communication, and learning within the community.

後站夜市 Rear Station Night Market
After a six-year hiatus, the Rear Station Night Market has returned, now operating only on Tuesdays and Thursdays to minimize impact on traffic and nearby residents. The night market is lively and offers traditional Taiwanese snacks, as well as food stalls run by Japanese and Indian vendors. Visitors can also enjoy classic night market games like pinball, balloon shooting, and ring tossing, along with live performances and a handmade goods market.
