Kurumi Yakitori, the second brand under the Cry Cry Café, continues its Japanese style. From the Machiya-style exterior, dry garden, and gravel landscaping, you can feel the strong Kyoto atmosphere. The interior, decorated in an old house style, features wooden furniture paired with various antique items collected by the owner. The thin wooden lattice doors and windows let natural light into the dining space, creating an exquisite ambiance. They mainly offer Japanese curry and rice burgers, along with desserts and drinks. The soup curry series is a must-try signature dish. The seats under the eaves in the indoor courtyard are a popular spot for photos, so book in advance!

Wale Western Cuisine 和樂洋食巧烹
Starting from a night market food truck, Wale Western Cuisine is located in a residential area near the Hsinchu HSR station. Although there are not many tables, the place is very clean and bright, with an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. They offer hamburg steak, congee, omelet rice, pasta, risotto, and small dishes. The food is delicious and affordable, making it a great value among Hsinchu restaurants. Highly recommended are the pesto chicken pasta, beef risotto, and Japanese-style grilled chicken wings.

Mr. Moon CaféMr.Moon 月亮先生咖啡館
Located near the Hsinchu HSR food district, Mr. Moon Café offers a wide variety of dishes, including brunch platters, American omelets, pasta, risotto, salads, and waffles. Arita Café 有田咖啡
Hidden in the fields not far from Hsinchu HSR, Arita Café was formerly a century-old Chinese medicine shop. The terraced house has been transformed into an old house café, retaining the historical Chinese medicine cabinet behind the counter and displaying old photos on the walls, giving the space a warm feel. Besides regular set meals, drinks, and desserts, they also offer special soups. The semi-outdoor seating on the second floor lets you enjoy the field views while sipping fragrant coffee, creating a unique experience.

Chonky Diner 肥貓漢堡

Nobi Shokudo 野比食堂
Nobi Shokudo, a white house with large windows framed by wooden frames and doors, even has its parking lot in the parking-scarce Zhubei. They mainly serve Japanese set meals and seasonal dishes, with the winter-exclusive mini pot dishes being particularly popular. Their signature dishes include Japanese fried pork cutlet, Tatsuta-age fried chicken, and beef sukiyaki. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and not greasy, delicious even without dipping sauce. Though the prices are not cheap, the variety of dishes and the spacious dining area make it a great spot for families.
