Located in Sun Moon Lake in Nantou, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village was established in 1986. Being one of the ”big four” of Taiwanese theme parks, The culture village features aboriginal cultures, it has four main theme parks: the European Palace Garden, the Aboriginal Villages, Amusement Isle and Formosan Aboriginal Museum. Every year in early spring around January to February, the park are embraced by cherry blossoms in full bloom making the area having the most cherry blossoms in central Taiwan.

Certified by the The Japan Cherry Blossom Association, the park has various kinds of flowers. Every spring, more than 5,000 cherry trees in full bloom. Around the trail is a very realistic Japanese-style street, giving the tourists a Japanese-style cherry blossom experience. Visitors can wear the traditional Japanese clothing and take in the beauty of the Cherry Blossom Avenue on rickshaws.

Skyline Ropeway
The ropeway is a circulating ropeway system. It’s 1000 meters long and the highest tower is 40 meters above the ground. Connecting Amusement Isle and Observation Tower, it is can be used for transportation and scenic purposes. Visitors can enjoy an amazing bird’s eye view of Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village by ropeways.

1. Take the train to Taichung Railway Station and then transfer to Nantou Bus, Taiwan Haoxing 6670, to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
2. Take the high-speed rail to Taichung Wuri Station and then transfer to Nantou Bus, Taiwan Haoxing 6670, to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
3. Take the Guoguang Bus to Puli and then transfer to Nantou Passenger Transport 6665, 6666, 6667 to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.

Sun Moon Lake

Nantou Puli
Puli is a city in Nantou County, in central Taiwan. Famous for its clean water, wine, flowers and people. It is also the mountainous center of Taiwan. The Paper Dome
The Paper Dome is located southeast of the Taomi Eco-Village. The church is held up by 58 paper columns. It’s a place where local community share their story, music and art. The ecological beauty around the park includes rich aquatic plants,wooden restaurants and the church itself. This place is truly and poetically beautiful.
